A one-day workshop for counsellors and psychotherapists

Saturday 23rd April 2022, 10.00am – 4.00pm

Drawing on psychoanalytic theory this workshop aims to develop understanding of ordinary narcissism as needed in human development and pathological narcissism. We will explore the environment and relational experiences that contribute to a person developing certain personality structures that we associate with narcissism.

There will be an examination of the various characteristics associated with narcissism, and the relationship between the self and narcissism will be explored. Participants will be encouraged to contribute to the theoretical discussions and also to discuss relevant clinical work they may have engaged with.
