A one-day workshop for counsellors and psychotherapists
Saturday 11th June 2022, 10.00am – 3.00pm
Opening one’s own private practice can be a daunting prospect and many trained therapists struggle to take the leap.
Practical considerations will be explored on the day and help with decisions such as whether to work from home or in an external setting or whether to focus on ‘remote therapy’ or in-person. Other practicalities such as setting a fee, public liability insurance, supervision, maintaining ethical standards and safety will be set out and discussed.
The day will also explore commercial considerations such as advertising and marketing solutions, appropriate social media presence, networking, websites, and direct marketing. Also record keeping, data collection and storage, accounting basics and tax considerations. All will be set out and discussed in order to assist those who are hoping to work privately to navigate around some of the pitfalls that can open up in any type of self-employment and enterprise.
Qualified counsellors are very welcome as well as those who are already established and are looking to develop their practice.
Venue: To be delivered via zoom, a link will be sent on the day
