From theory to practice and beyond

A one-day workshop for counsellors and psychotherapists

Her PhD was in the field of psychophysiology, looking at how stress links to attachment styles in adolescent development. The applied side of her work is conducted as part of the Centre for Abuse and Trauma Studies, based at Middlesex University, and involves training clinicians in evidence-based measures of attachment and how to use these to enhance different areas of psychological practice. Andrea trained at the Bowlby Centre and is a UKCP-registered attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice in London.
